| NEW in Vintages. Here is a remarkably inexpensive best buy Stellenbosch Chardonnay that should not be missed. Bright pale straw colour. Very attractive, intense, complex, minerally, ripe, lemon-apple meringue nose with some toasty, hazelnut notes. Dry, medium-plus bodied, well structured, intense, complex, maturing, lemon-apple meringue flavours with a lingering, gently cedary, harmonious finish. At peak and ready-to-drink preferably with poultry (less so with seafood). Fermented and matured for 11 months in 228-litre oak (30% new), it has 12.5% alcohol and 2 g/L resid ual sugar with lot number L24/038 on the back label. |
