CABERNET FRANC 2021 Redstone Vineyard, VQA Lincoln Lakeshore, Niagara Peninsula
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer REDSTONE
NEW in Vintages. Bright youthful fairly deep purple-red colour. Slightly spicy, ripe, red-cherry-raspberry nose with some faintly savoury, brioche notes. Very dry, medium bodied, very bright, very slightly peppery, plum-rcrancherry-cassis flavours with a lingering, fairly high acid, youthful finish. Great with a skirt steak, the best is yet to come. This 100% Cabernet Franc spent 17 months in mostly neutral French oak. It has 12.5% alcohol, under 2 g/L residual sugar and a hefty 6.75 g/L total acidity. The lot number WS2021-05-23-02.22 appears on the lower part of the glass bottle. Only 2,000 bottles were produced. Still need time to evolve - cork closure. CSPC 46463

TASTING NOTE: This wine encapsulates all of what makes Niagara Cabernet Franc so appealing. There's plenty of ripe red and dark fruit, with an evocative underbelly of garden herbs and a marked minerality. Lithe and mediumbodied, it has the structure for pairing with grilled foods without losing its sipability. Pair with dinner or conversation. This will evolve for another 10+ years. Price $ 40.95
Bottle Size 750 mL
Tasting Date vintages release - August 16, 2025
