| As fond as I am of Tavel, this 2024 is not quite worthy a detour. Very bright light pink colour, it has a slightly spicy, Damson plum nose with citrusy-minerally notes. Dry, medium to medium-light bodied, slightly spicy, minerally, plum fruit flavours with some very faintly dusty, rather crisp, dried red berry notes on the finish. It has 14% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number 250325 on the upper part of the glass bottle. Recently bottled on March 25, it may well improve over the next 6-12 months. |
