ASSYRTIKO 2023 PDO Santorini
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer ARGYRO
It is a fact that the demand for this Santorini treasure has skyrocketed and so have its prices. This limited edition is made from 100+ year-old ungrafted Assyrtiko vines. Bright light straw colour with an attractive, fairly complex, slightly spicy, faintly floral, lemon-apple-lime meringue nose with some saline-minerality and faintly toasty notes. Dry, medium-plus bodied, nicely textured, harmonious, ripe, lemon-apple meringue flavours with tangy melon underpinning and a lingering, lifted, complex, faintly toasty (from 4 months lees aging) finish. This 300-bottle-batch of still youthful 2023 Agyros has 14% alcohol, 2 g/L residual sugar and 6.2 g/L total acidity with lot number L20423044 on the back label. CSPC 387365
