TASTING NOTE: The red soils of the Coonawarra region are best known for yielding quality Cabernet Sauvignon. This wine, sourced from vines first planted in 1969, puts a spin on things by adding Shiraz, Malbec and Merlot to the mix. Bold and powerful yet elegant, it evokes cassis, cherry, dark chocolate, black pepper and woodsmoke. Savour through 2030 with pepper steak and pan-fried leeks and mushrooms. Price $ 19.95
