This 5th Vintages release has a medum-deep purple-ruby colour. Fairly intense, fragrant, floral, violet-rose-tinged nose with some slightly spicy, bright, ripe plum-cherrry fruit with some hints of sandalwood. Dry, medium plus bodied, bright, attractive, ripe, harmonious, plum-red-cherry flavours with some mineral notes followed up by a lingering, faintly sandalwood-tinged finish. This well-priced, organic blend of 95% Sangiovese,and 5% Canaiolo has 14.5% alcohol and under 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number L00321 on the back label. CSPC 16448

TASTING NOTE: A fragrant, expressive nose with notes of iris, dark berries, tea leaf and a whiff of iodine preludes a palate with firm fibre and just the right touch of severity in the long savoury finish.
