SANCERRE 2023 AC |
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |
Producer |
PASCAL JOLIVET |
Here is a classy, ripe, nicely textured 100% Sauvignon Blanc that is perfect match for seafood. Bright very pale straw colour, the nose has elegant, minerally, very slightly grassy, ripe lemon-apple fruit. On the palate, it is dry, medium bodied, bright, well balanced and very faintly grassy with rounded, ripe, lemon-apple fruit followed up by a lingering, mineral-tinged, harmonious finish. Surprisingly ready-to-drink, it has 12..5% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number L3103 on the back label. |

TASTING NOTE: This dynamic Sauvignon Blanc is crafted in a style that led Jancis Robinson, MW, to refer to it as \"Sancerre on steroids\" (jancisrobinson.com, Dec. 5, 2014). Expect layers of complex mineral character pierced by intense citrus fruit and brilliant acidity. Savour this wine with turkey dinner, or smoked-trout salad and goat-cheese croƻtes with garlic butter. |
