BRAMÃŒTO DELLA SALA CHARDONNAY 2023 IGT Umbria
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer ANTINORI
Medium straw in colour, this tasty 2023 vintage has an attractive, gently complex, very bright, intense, ripe, lemony, toasty nose. Dry, medium, quite nicely textured, ripe, lemon-apple meringue flavours with a lingering, harmonious, minerally, gently complex finish. It opens up nicely in the glass and seems quite approachable now - perfect with roast chicken, ham or lamb. This blend of non-malolactic stainless steel fermented Chardonnay with some richer oak-fermented malolactic batches has 12.5% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number 4260 on the lower part of the glass bottle. TASTING NOTE: A waft of roasted nut on the nose enriches the palate's lively range of steeped apricot, Mandarin orange peel, pastry cream and chamomile notes. Racy acidity gives the complex profile fine definition and carries this on the well-spiced finish. Drink now through 2033. Score - 91 (Alison Napjus, winespectator.com, Nov. 30, 2024) Price $ 34.95
