MERITAGE 2020 VQA Niagara Peninsula
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer REDSTONE
NEW in Vintages. Deep intense purple-red colour. Rich, ripe, expressive, Damson plum, black cherry and raspberry-cassis on the nose with some complex, faintly savoury, cedary notes. Dry, full bodied, dense, rich, mouthfilling, bright, ripe, plum-cancherry-cassis flavours followed up by gently savoury notes and some still slightly grippy tannins on the lingering finish. Perfect with a well-marbled rib steak. This blend of 43% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Cabernet Franc and 22% Merlot has 13.5% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar. CSPC 44167

TASTING NOTE: A classic Niagara meritage blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Merlot featuring ripe dark fruit over wafts of cherry essence and cedar. The palate is fresh and fullbodied, with an expansive quality through to the mid-palate, giving way to grippy tannins. Needs a little time for the oak and tannins to soften.
