| This NEW in Vintages Sicilian bargain-priced organic Nero d’Avola has a very deep intense purple colour. The nose shows excellent intensity - rich, ripe, Damson plums with some slightly minerally-earthy notes. It is dry with great mouth feel - lots of faintly floral, ripe plums with some elegant, lifted, cassis-tinged notes on the lingering finish. At its peak, this versatile crowd-pleaser has 14% alcohol with lot number L24140 on the back label. |
