MEDITERANO PLAVAC MALI 2019 Hvar Island, South Dalmatia
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer BLADEL 1862
NEW in Vintages. Croatia’s indigenous Plavic Maliu grape is related to Zinfandel which becomes evident once tasted. Medium-deep garnet colour, the nose shows ripe, plum-red-cherry-raspberry fruit with some faintly savoury notes. Dry, medium bodied, faintly spicy, bright, plum-crancherry flavours with a lingering, very faintly earthy finish. Refreshing and ready-to-drink, it works well with casual cuisine - from wintery vegetarian stews to burgers. Half of the wine was aged for one year in Slavonian oak. It has 13% alcohol and 3 g/L residual sugar with a screwcap closure. CSPC 24657
