| Unfortunately for fans of this wine, the LCBO has been overcharging buyers $2.00 per bottle at the cash register which incorrectly posts $21.45 as the HST-free price. It should be $19.45 like other Kim Crawford $21.95 wines. Sadly, thousands of bottles have been purchased since December 16 and every bottle was sold at this incorrect elevated price. Meanwhile four other $21.95 Vintages releases sell for a high of $19.80 and a low of $19.30. Pale straw colour, the nose is gently spicy, floral and faintly honeyed with fresh, peach-apple-lemon aromas. It is dry, medium bodied, and gently spicy with fresh, bright, melon-pear-lemon-apple flavours followed up a crisp, mineral-tinged, very faintly grassy finish. A versatile, ready-to-drink, crowd-pleaser that actually has 13% alcohol and 5 g/L residual sugar with lot number 24239 on the lower part of the glass bottle. Screwcap closure. |
