UNSHACKLED RED BLEND 2022 California |
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |
Producer |
THE PRISONER WINE COMPANY |
This very deep intense purple coloured California blend of Zinfandel, Malbec, Petite Sirah, Syrah and Grenache has a fruity, intense, spicy, rather cedary nose with lots of ripe, plummy, black cherries. Quite dry, medium to medium-full bodied, harmonious and ready-to-drink with an abundance of rich, ripe fruit balanced by a wave of cedary flavours that show good length and decent acidity. This crowd-pleaser has 14.5% alcohol and 5 g/L residual sugar was barrel-aged in French and American oak casks for 11 months before bottling. |
