SAUVIGNON BLANC 2023 Marlborough, South Island, New Zealand, sustainable
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer INVINITI
NEW in Vintages. I had a taste of a freshly-opened bottle at the LCBO tasting bar and unfortunately was quite disappointed. It was very fresh, somewhat tart, green, herbacous and faintly bitter with apple-melon fruit flavours followed up by an ultra crisp finish. Sadly this is only one of several disappointing New Zealand 2023 Sauvignon Blanc releases tasted recently. It has 12.5% alcohol, 2.5 g/L residual sugar and a hefty 7.1g/L total acidity with a screwcap closure. CSPC 36907

TASTING NOTE: Bright and fresh, the fragrant bouquet shows green apple, nectarine, feijoa and lemon zest aromas, followed by a flavoursome palate delivering juicy fruit intensity backed by crisp acidity, making it delightfully appealing.
