RIESLING 2022 AC Alsace
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer TRIMBACH
Bright pale straw colour. Classic, intense, mineral-driven, slightly spicy, complex, ripe, lemon-apple nose with some bright minerally notes. Dry, medium bodied, very crisp, slightly spicy, intense, high acid, ripe, lemon-apple flavours with a long, minerally, unoaked, rather mouthfillling finish. Great with seafood and poultry, it has 12.8% alcohol and 2.7 g/L (not 4) residual sugar with 97201C102 on the upper part of the glass bottle - screwcap closure. I hope that we do not have to wait for two more years before the LCBO reorders this wonderful Riesling. CSPC 734517

TASTING NOTE: The wide spectrum of citrus, crisp pear and stone fruit aromas announces a remarkable achievement for an entry-level wine. Excellent depth on the racy, medium-bodied palate where the chalky minerality beautifully counterpoints the cool fruit. Crisp, long finish with so much vitality. From organically grown grapes. Drink or hold [into the early 2030s]. Score - 92 (Stuart Pigott, jamessuckling.com, May 30, 2024) Price $ 29.95
