NORMAN HARDIE RIESLING 2023 VQA Ontario
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer NORMAN HARDIE
This still-youthful winery-only just released 2023 Riesling has a bight light straw colour and a fairly intense, gently complex, mineral-tnged, fresh yellow-apple nose with some very faint petrol notes in the background. Fairly dry, medium bodied and nicely textureds with gently complex bright, ripe, apple fruit flavours followed up by a lingering, refined, mineral-tinged finish. This excellent Riesling has 11.5% alcohol, 7 g/L residual sugar and 8.2 g/L total acidity with lot number L20240109 on the lower part of the glass bottle and a screwcap closure. Sourced from a number of Niagara Escarpment and Prince Edward County sites. Each block is individually whole cluster pressed and fermented separately in stainless steel than aged 6 months on lees with no malolactic fermentation. Winery-only at the moment. CSPC 131169
