This organic 2020 is a winery-direct individual store order. It has a different cspc number from the currently available recommended lighter 2019 (Vintages #31812). Fairly deep purple colour, Intense, faintly spicy, ripe dark plum fruit on the nose with some cedary notes. Dry, medium-full bodied, intense, dense, youthful, Damson plum flavours with some leafy, faintly herbal notes. Big mouthfeel, this hefty Cab Franc is worth trying and should improve with additional aging. It has 13.9% alcohol (vs 12.2% for the ready-to-drink.2019) and a hefty 7 g/L total acidity and under 3 g/L residual sugar. Screwcap closure with lot number 2022 03 18 on the lower part of the glass bottle.The HST-free price is $23.40. It is in 33 stores and the Royal York-Bloor store just received 20 cases. CSPC 42489

TASTING NOTE: This wine was hand-harvested from certified organic vineyards across Niagara. Grapes were clustersorted and gently destemmed, with 50% crushing before indigenous fermentation and malolactic conversion in oak vats. Look for notions of violets, blueberries, earthy cedar and smoke and savour with ratatouille or stuffed bell peppers. Price $ 23.40
