CHÂTEAU SIAURAC 2014 AC Lalande-de-Pomerol
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer
I am pleased to see this 11th Vintages release of Chateau Siaurac just in time for the holidays. What a great Bordeaux for roast beef. Fairly deep slightly ambering red colour. Complex, attractive, slightly spicy, intense, faintly earthy, savoury, maturing, ripe, Damson plum and black cherry nose with some cassis-tinged, sandalwood-cedar notes. Dry, medium to medium-full bodied, well structured, harmonious, slightly spicy, intense, maturing, ripe plum-cherry-cassis flavours with a lingering, gently savoury, elegantly cedary, harmonious finish. This new blend of 80% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc and 5% Malbec has 13.5% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number L5/29.05.12 on the lower part of the glass bottle. Showing nicely now - drink up. NOW $34.80. CSPC 39300

TASTING NOTE: The ample fruitiness of this 80% Merlot wine is right up front. It comes from a large 116-acre estate on the extension of the Pomerol plateau. Firm tannins as well as generous black plum and berry fruits are well balanced, just needing time to soften and fill out. Drink this full, rich wine from 2018 [through 2026]. Score - 91 (Roger Voss, Wine Enthusiast, Feb. 1, 2017) Price $ 39.95
Bottle Size 750 mL
