MANOIR DE MERCEY |
Pale straw colour. Huge nose with lots of oaky-cedary notes along with lemon-apple meringue and some faintly tropical notes. Better on the palate - dry, medium-full bodied, well structured, fairly dense , very ripe, lemon-apple meringue with a lingering, fairly oaky finish. Has 13% alcohol and under 2 g/L residual sugar. |

TASTING NOTE: This Chardonnay is aged in old French oak casks to impart subtle hints of smoky vanilla that complement the natural aromas of green pear and passion fruit. Hailing from the high-elevation Clos des Dames plantings, it offers plenty to love and will make a fine accompaniment to roast chicken and creamy coleslaw. |
