QUADRUS |
This excellent 2018 has an intense purple colour and an attractive, ripe, plum-black-cherry-cassis nose along with some sandalwood-cedar notes. It’s dry, medium to medium-full bodied, harmonious and well structured with ripe, intense, Damson plum, black cherry and cassis flavours with well structured, sandalwood-cedar notes on the lingering finish. This ripe blend of 55% Touriga Nacional, 30% Tinta Roriz and 15% Sousao has 13.5% alcohol and under 4 g/L residual sugar. |

TASTING NOTE: This blend of Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz and Sousão comes from vineyards planted in 2005 selected by Tony Amaro of Toronto's Opus Restaurant. The hot, dry 2018 vintage was the warmest in 86 years and required great attention in the vineyards to ensure a balanced maturation. This wine shows dark cherry, plum, clove, and pepper spice. Enjoy it with braised meats or cellar through 2028+. |
