MÉTHODE CAP CLASSIQUE BRUT PINOT NOIR/CHARDONNAY ROSÉ SPARKLING WO Western Cape, South Africa, traditional method
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer GRAHAM BECK
Bright light pink colour. Attractive, slightly spicy, bright, ripe plum-strawberry-raspberry nose with some slightly leesy notes. Dry, medium bodied, well balanced, slightly spicy, bright, ripe plum-strawberry flavours with good effervescence and a lingering, fairly crisp, minerally finish. Quite ready-to-drink. This tasty crowd-pleasing blend of approximately 54% Pinot Noir and 46% Chardonnay has 12% alcohol and 7 g/L residual sugar with lot number L204204 on the lower part of the glass bottle. CSPC 175588

TASTING NOTE: Classic, traditional method toasty complexity on offer here from stalwart Graham Beck, comprising the hoped for cherry-strawberry fruit from pinot noir. I like the dry, crispness on the palate, and especially the complexity and balance on offer. This is a terrific bottling from Beck. Tasted May 2024.
