AGIORGTIKO 2019 PDO Neméa
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer ESTATE PAPAIOANNOU
Fairly deep intense bright purple colour. Rather spicy, ripe, plummy nose with some minerally red cherry notes. Dry, medium bodied, slightly spicy, harmonious, bright, ripe, plummy-raspberry flavours with a lingering, fairly crisp, sandalwood-tinged finish. A perfect ready-to-drink red with lamb skewers hot off the grill. Aged for 12 months in new oak barrels, this 100% organic Agiorgitiko has 14% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar with no lot number on the back label but a tag number MN/22 on the capsule. CSPC 27217

TASTING NOTE: Lithe on the palate this Agiorgitiko is a combination of savoury, dried cherries and a pleasant brushwood. A spine of acid gives dimension to the savoury character such that it finishes fresh, firm and you're looking for the next sip. Score - 91 (Elsa Macdonald, MW, winealign.com) Price $ 28.95
