NIAGARA UNFILTERED PINOT NOIR 2020 VQA Niagara Peninsula
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer NORMAN HARDIE
This 2020 Niagara Peninsula Pinot Noir has more alcohol and structure than the PEC 2019 which is also in this release. Medium-deep reddish colour with a faint amber on the edge. Intense, complex, mineral-driven, rose hip nose with some faintly earthy, sandalwood-tinged, ripe, plum-crancherry notes. Dry , medium bodied and quite well structured with some faintly grippy, still youthful, crancherry fruit flavours along with a mineral driven, lingering, faintly earthy finish. Try with salmon and poulty. It has nice mouthfeel (unfiltered) and has 13.5% alcohol and under 2 g/L residual sugar. Screwcap closure with lot number 20180208 on the lower part of the glass bottle. A repeat of the recommended 2020 that was released on November 4, 2023 at $49.20. CSPC 208702
