| A THIRD REPEAT of the recommended 2021 (***) that was last released on March 16 2024 at $18.95. Here is my previous note from November 18, 2023. Medium deep ruby red colour. Fairly intense, slightly spicy, gently complex, ripe, plum-cherry-cassis fruit with some gentle cedary-sandalwood notes. Dry, medium bodied, bright, slightly spicy, ripe, plum-cherry-cassis flavours with a crisp, lingering, sandalwood-tinged finish. This tasty, versatile, ready-to-drink blend of 35% Corvine, 35% Corvinone, 20% Rondinella and 10% of four other varieties has 14.5% alcohol and under 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number 2021 L1 on the back label. |

| TASTING NOTE: This is a light bodied, smooth and gentle red, very typical of Valpolicella. Expect sour cherry/strawberry fruit, some florality and slightly earthy notes. It drinks easily, with good fruit, juicy acidity and soft tannin. Shows very good length. Tasted twice in late 2023, with December example much improved. Score - 89 (David Lawrason, winealign.com) |
