POUILLY-FUISSÉ 2022 AC, sustainable
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer DOMAINE LES VIEUX MURS
This might well be the most improved Burgundy Intense, have tasted this year. Bright light straw colour with a remarkable nose that exudes intense, complex, ripe, lemon-apple meringue along with some faintly minerally, buttered toast notes. Dry, medium-full bodied, very well structured, classic, intense, ripe, lemon-apple meringue flavours with a bright, long, lingering, gently toasty, mouthfilling, lifted finish. This remarkable Pouilly-Fuisse has 13.5% alcohol and under 2 g/L residual sugar and after malolactic fermentation was aged for 9 months in large 25 hectolitres old French foudres using only natural yeast. TASTING NOTE: This wine is charming and ripe without sacrificing character or vigour. It comes from vines averaging more than 50 years of age, and it shows. It's long and pure, with apple, melon, buttered toast and deftly displayed and integrated oak spice atop that defining minerality. A wine with the delicacy and lift for seafood and the concentration and presence for roast turkey or pork. Price $ 41.95
Bottle Size 750 mL
