This NEW in Vintages blend of 40% Merlot, 30% Petite Sirah, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Malbec has a very deep intense purple colour. Attractive, intense, complex, bright, fruit-driven, cassis-raspberry-plum nose with some cedary notes. Dry, medium-full to full bodied, well structured, dense, intense, ripe, still youthful, plum-black-currant flavours with a lingering, harmonious, gently cedary finish. The Petite Sirah was aged in American oak (24% new) for 20 months; Bordeaux varieties in French oak (35% new) for 20 months. It has 14.6% alcohol and under 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number L083022 on the lower part of the glass bottle. |

TASTING NOTE: Red blends of this type rarely shine as brightly. This ultra concentrated and smooth-textured blend including Merlot, Petite Sirah and Malbec is inky dark in color, luxurious aromatic of blueberries, blackcurrants and mint followed by oak spices and dark chocolate on the palate. Creamy in texture, it is laden in massive but melted tannins. Best from 2026-2036. Cellar Selection. Score - 97 (Jim Gordon, Wine Enthusiast, Sept. 1, 2023) |
