SHOWCASE WILD FERMENT SAUVIGNON BLANC 2020 VQA Niagara-on-the-Lake
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer TRIUS
Awarded a NWAC gold medal two years ago, this maturing Sauvignon Blanc has a bright light yellow colour. Surprisingly intense, complex, gently floral, toasty, minerally, baked Alaska and warm apple pie nose with some tropical fruit cocktail notes. Dry, medium-full bodied, rich, ripe, spicy, lemon meringue, apple pie and key lime flavours with a lingering, toasty, buttery, slight burnt caramel-tinged finish. It has a hefty 13.4% alcohol and 3.1 g/L residual sugar. Fermented and aged in barrels for 10 months, this distinctive Sauvignon Blanc should go well with a lobster bisque or perhaps Thanksgiving roast turkey. NEW in Vintages - only 290 cases produced.
