CABERNET SAUVIGNON 2021 Paso Robles
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer M PASO ROBLES
NEW in Vintages. Deep intense purple colour. Ripe, bright, juicy, plum-crancherry nose with some slightly spicy, gently cedary, faintly minerally notes. Dry, medium-plus bodied, quite well structured, juicy, ripe, plum-crancherry flavours with a lingering, rounded, fairly bright, gently cedary finish. A crowd-pleasing, easy-drinking style that shows a fair amount of fruit sweetness and nice texture on the palate. It was aged in French and American small oak barriques (20% new) for 20 months and has 14.5 alcohol and 4 g/L residual sugar. Bottled on August 26, 2022. CSPC 38032

TASTING NOTE: I love this easy-to-drink 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon from McPrice Myers that well overdelivers for its price. Deep ruby-purple, it has alluring aromas of cassis, pencil shavings, dried herbs, leather and lavender, plus classy touches of oak spice. The full-bodied palate is concentrated and powerful without going over the top. It has abundant, grainy tannins, flinty streaks and plenty of refreshing acidity to carry the long finish. It's not your average chocolate bomb California Cabernet, despite its modest price tag. Drink date: 2023-2028. Score - 95 (Erin Brooks, robertparker.com, Dec. 30, 2022) Price $ 39.95
