BRAMĚTO DELLA SALA CHARDONNAY 2022 IGT Umbria |
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |
Producer |
ANTINORI |
Medium straw in colour, this 2022 vintage has an attractive, gently complex, very bright, intense, ripe, lemony, toasty nose. Dry, medium to medium-full bodied, quite well structured, gently spicy, intense, ripe, lemon-apple meringue flavours with a lingering, harmonious, minerally, gently complex finish. It opens up nicely in the glass and is quite approachable now - perfect with roast chicken, ham or lamb. This blend of non-malolactic stainless steel fermented Chardonnay with some richer oak-fermented lots with malolactic ends up having 12.5% alcohol, 2 g/L residual sugar and good total acidity with lot number L3263 on the lower part of the glass bottle. |

TASTING NOTE: This fresh white shows fine interplay between rich hints of creamed apple, persimmon, vanilla and biscuit, with notes of Meyer lemon peel and tangy salinity. Light- to medium-bodied and creamy on the palate, with a well-cut finish. Drink now through 2027. Score - 90 (Alison Napjus, winespectator.com, April 30, 2024) |
