OLOROSO DRY SHERRY DO, Jerez, Spain
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer ZULETA
NEW in Vintages. Bright medium amber colour. Sweet, spicy, buttery-caramel, prune-tinged nose with some vanilla-tinged ripe plum jam notes. Dry, medium bodied, quite well balanced, fairly spicy and intense, somewhat oxidized, very faintly raisiny, baked plum flavours with a lingering, slightly earthy, very faintly bitter, walnut-earth-tinged finish. Aged approximately 5 years through the process of \"Soleras and Criaderas\" in American oak casks, this 100% second-press Palomino has 17.5% alcohol and under 2 g/L residual sugar with a screwcap closure. A bit of an acquired taste, try slightly chilled. CSPC 39459
