Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |
Producer |
RTVELISI |
Deep youthful violet-purple colour. Minerally, faintly dusty, dried plums and rose petals on the nose with some hints of fig. Very dry, medium bodied, somewhat spicy, youthful, firm, peppery, plum-red-apple fruit flavours with a lingering, minerally finish. BBQ kabobs would be a perfect match. This 100% Saperavi has 13% alcohol and under 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number 13.11.2023 on the back label. |

TASTING NOTE: This wine comes from Kakheti, which is Georgia's most important wine region in terms of total production, quality and historical significance. Once used solely to add colour and freshness to blends, the Saperavi grape has established itself as a superb single-varietal wine. This one is lush and generous, with damson plum, red cherry and firm tannins. Pair with roast pork. |
