Very deep intense purple colour. Complex, gently spicy, ripe, youthful, mullberry-cherry-plum nose with some minerally, licorice-tinged, toasty notes. Dry, medium bodied, nicely structured, ripe, plum-crancherry flavours with a lingering, gently cedary, well balanced, harmonious finish. Perfect with a strip steak au poivre. This 100% Malbec from Cahors was aged for 12 months in concrete and French oak and has 14% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number L1 P13 010324 on the lower part of the glass bottle. Better/riper than the recommended best buy 2019 that was released on October 8, 2022 at $21.95. |

TASTING NOTE18:37:02 This beautifully textured wine comes from vines surrounding a former priory on the plateau above the river Lot. Its density is masked by powerful black fruits and acidity that bring minerality and a smoky character to the wine. Drink from 2026. Cellar Selection. Score - 93.
