ARMENIA DRY RED 2022 Vayots Dzor, Aragatsotn |

ARMENIA WINE FACTORY |
NEW in Vintages. This high elevation indigenous blend of 65% Areni and 35% Haghtanak - just two of Armenia’s 350+ grape varieties - is worthy of trying. Grown in the Aragatsotn region, this fairly deep red has a gently spicy, plummy-raspberry nose. It is dry, medium bodied, harmonious, gently spicy, ripe, plummy, black-cherry-cranberry flavours with a lingering, lifted, bright, sandalwood-tinged finish. This food-friendly blend works perfectly with hot-of-the-grill sausages. It has 13.5% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number L-A234 on the back label. |

TASTING NOTE: Armenia has a rich cultural history of winemaking. The Vayots Dzor region is where the oldest-dated wine (over 6,000 years old) was discovered. Made from the native grapes Areni and Haghtanak, this aromatic, spicy red shows flavours of roasted bell pepper, baking spices and cocoa. |
