This is the 14th release since 2003 in Vintages. Deep violet-red colour. Intense, fairly complex, slightly spicy, attractive, elegant, ripe, Damson plum nose with some gently cedary sandalwood notes. Dry, medium to medium-full bodied, quite well structured, slightly spicy, bright, fine , fairly complex, bright, ripe, Damson-plum-predominant flavours with a lingering, very gently cedary, harmonious finish. This totally new ORGANIC blend of 39% Grenache Noir (previous vintage 35%), 25% Syrah (38%), 33% Mourvedre (25%) and 3% Cinsault (2%) has a slightly lower 14.5% alcohol and under 3 g/L residual sugar with number L23/144 on the lower part of the glass bottle. Not up to the recommended best buy 2020 (***/***+) with 94-points that was released on October 21, 2023 at $64.95. |
