SISTER'S RUN |
A FOURTH REPEAT of the recommended 2019 (**+) that was last released on April 30, 2022 at $17.95. Here is one of the most popular Aussi reds in Vintages. This well priced Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon gives many Cabs out there a real run for the money. Extremely deep purple colour. Attractive, intense, ripe, juicy, black-cherry-cassis nose with some cedary, faintly mocca-chocolate notes. Dry, medium-bodied, nicely well structured, harmonious, intense, gently spicy, ripe, plum-cherry-cassis flavours with a lingering, bright, harmonious, cedary finish. This ready-to-drink, very tasty, well balanced, crowd-pleaser has 14.5% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar with a new numbers 20252 and L2118 on the lower part of the glass bottle. Screwcap closure - it would be great with ribs and/or lamb. |

TASTING NOTE: Dark purple. Highly perfumed aromas of kirsch, cassis, pipe tobacco, pungent flowers and cracked pepper. Shows very good clarity and spicy cut to the red and dark fruit flavors, which turn sweeter through the back half. Closes long and taut, with youthfully chewy tannins lending grip. Drinking window: 2024-2032. Score - 91 (Josh Raynolds, vinous.com, Sept. 2022) |
