| A REPEAT of the recommended best buy 2015 (***) was released on November 27, 2021 at $39.95. Bright medium-light straw colour with streams of extremely tiny bubbles. Toasty, complex, intense, slightly spicy, ripe lemon-apple meringue nose with some very faintly leesy, warm brioch-shortbread notes. Dry, medium bodied, well structured, high acid, ripe, lemon-apple meringue flavours with a lingering, very crisp, effervescent, complex, gently toasty, mineral-tinged finish. This very tasty blend of 60% Chardonnay and 40% Pinot Noir actually spent 60 months (not 48) on the lees and has 12.5% alcohol and zero dosage leaving 3 g/L residual sugar. The bottling date only appears on the shipping case - it is June 15, 2021. Only 560 cases of 6 produced. This 2015 is one of the best I have tasted from 13th Street and outperforms some some of the much pricier Champagnes at the LCBO. |

| TASTING NOTE: A lovely, clean nose leads off here on this classic traditional method bubbly (60% chardonnay, 40% pinot noir) from 13th Street, just starting the shift to more mature flavours but with plenty of road ahead. The palate is very dry, frothy, crisp and fresh with crackling acids corseting the ensemble and excellent length. I'd cellar for another 1-3 years for a more rounded and evolved expression.
