CHÂTEAU TOUR DE HAUT-MOULIN 2015 AC Haut-Médoc |

NEW in Vintages. Deep intense purple colour, this blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot was aged in French oak for 12-15 months - 30% of new. Lots of complexity on the nose which shows some earthy, cedar-tinged, maturing, intense, ripe plum fruit. Dry, medium bodied, nicely structured, fairly dense albeit well balanced, ripe plum fruit with some mulberry notes along with a fairly high acid, quite well structured, lingering finish. Great with roast beef. Has 13.5% alcohol and under 2 g/L residual sugar. |

TASTING NOTE: Suave, dark plums and blackberries with hints of mocha and warm baking spices. The palate has a vivid bright supple core of ripe, spiced plums and mocha to close. Mid-weight but has some chew. Try from 2021 [through 2025+]. Score - 92 (jamessuckling.com, Feb. 2, 2018) |
