BAROLO 2018 DOCG |
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |
Producer |
PRUNOTTO |
Rather pale slightly ambering light red colour. Elegant, very slightly spicy, subdued, ripe plum-cherry purée fruit on the nose with some forest floor notes. Dry, medium bodied, attractive, harmonious, very slightly spicy, fairly bright, forward, ripe plum-cherry purée flavours with rounded tannins and a lingering, very pretty, faintly berryish, red licorice-tinged finish. Silky texture and perfect for current consumption, it has 14% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number L2150 on the lower part of the glass bottle and on the back label. |

TASTING NOTE: Strawberries with perfumes and flowers on the nose. Very perfumed. Rose petals. Hints of watermelon, too. A medium-bodied Barolo with fine tannins and fresh fruit. Lovely energy and delicacy. Drink or hold. Score - 92 (jamessuckling.com, Aug. 8, 2022) |
