PIRRAMIMMA |
This attractive, cedary, harmonious, crowd-pleaser has a deep intense purple colour. The nose is spicy and intense with lots of ripe plum-cherrry-cassis fruit plus some sandalwood-cedary notes. Dry, medium to medium-full bodied, quite well structured, spicy, intense, ripe, plummy, black cherry flavours with a long, cedary, faintly savoury finish. Youthful and ready-to-drink, it has 14.5% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number L1145 on the lower part of the glass bottle. Screwcap closure. The recommended 2017 (**+) was released on October 16, 2021 at $29.95. |

TASTING NOTE: It's bold and wonderfully expressive on the nose showing dark berry, cedar, game and vanilla notes, leading to a succulent palate delivering terrific fruit intensity together with supple mouthfeel, finishing long and satisfying. At its best: now to 2032. Score - 94 (Sam Kim, wineorbit.co.nz, June 2021) |
