Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer GRILLESINO
This 100% Sangiovese (aka Morellino) has a deep intense purple colour. The nose is intense, gently cedary and rather floral with lots of spicy, ripe bright, plummy-cherry fruit followed up by some lead pencil and sandalwood notes. Very dry, medium to medium-full bodied, bright, spicy, intense, plummy, dried ripe cherry flavours with a lingering, surprisingly dense, well structured, minerally-sandalwood finish. It has 14% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number L0311 on the back label. Aged for 14 months in French oak barriques and very lightly filtered. Not new in Vintages - the 2016 was released on October 27, 2018. CSPC 329326
