| Youthful deep ruby-purple colour. The nose is intense and complex with slightly spicy, ripe, Damson plums and red and black cherry puree with some faintly earthy, minerally, rather cedary notes. Dry, elegant, medium to medium-full bodied, very attractive, well-structured, slightly spicy, intense, harmonious, ripe plum-cherry flavours with a long, fairly cedary, high acid, cassis-sandalwood-tinged finish. It has great texture and mouthfeel. This blend of 80% Sangiovese and 20% Merlot has 13.5% alcohol and under 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number L.CB0204CA on the back label. Aged for 16 months in 50% new and 50% used tonneaux and barriques - tonneaux for Sangiovese- barriques for Merlot. |
