Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |
Producer |
LIONEL OSMIN & CIE |
What a difference a vintage makes. This attractive, fragrant, well balanced, solid Malbec has a very deep intense purple colour with an intense, spicy, plum-cherry-cassis nose with lots of cedary notes. Dry medium to medium-full bodied and well balanced, the fragrant nuances of violets/roses aare mingled with intense, ripe plum-cassis flavours along with bright mineral notes on the lingering, tangy, fairly high acid, rather cedary, well structured finish. Perfect with a robust beef stew. .It has 13.5% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number L21064002152 on the lower part of the glass bottle and on the back label. Much bigger than the elegan 2016 (**+) released on July 25, 2020 at $19.95. |

TASTING NOTE: A rich and dense wine that has concentrated black fruits, firm tannins and bold, juicy richness. The wine is balanced, with its structure showing well against the fruit. Drink from 2021 [through 2025]. Best Buy. Score - 89 (Roger Voss, Wine Enthusiast, Dec. 31, 2020) |
