SAUVIGNON BLANC 2019 Estate bottled, Rutherford, Napa Valley
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer INGLENOOK
Very pale straw colour. Initially quite closed, it opens up in the glass with lots of complex, somewhat earthy, fairly grassy, intense, lime meringue notes. Very dry, medium-full bodied, somewhat peppery, slightly earthy, complex, intense, yellow grapefruit flavours with a lingering, rather high acid, gently grassy, mineral-driven finish. This blend of 76% Sauvignon Blanc and 24% Semillon was aged 8 months aging sur lies in 70% stainless steel, 19% new French oak and 11% neutral French oak. Bottled in May 2020, it has 13.6% alcohol and under 2 g/L residual sugar. NEW in Vintages, it would be perfection with a lobster bisque! CSPC 17090

TASTING NOTE: Blended with 24% Sémillon and aged eight months sur lie, the majority in stainless steel, this wine is oily and viscous in lime and lemongrass, with intriguing hints of green olive and grapefruit. Slick and acid-driven on the palate, it shows structure and elegance, with a hint of richness. Score - 92 (Virginie Boone, Wine Enthusiast, April 1, 2022) Price $ 52.95
