LES CASSAGNES CÔTES DU RHÔNE-VILLAGES 2019 AP |
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note |
Producer |
LA NERTHE |
Deep intense purple colour. Slightly spicy, gently juicy, ripe, plum-cherry nose with some red licorice notes. Dry, medium bodied, nicely textured, slightly spicy, gently juicy, ripe, bright, plum-cherry fruit flavours with a lingering, faintly savoury, harmonious, well structured finish. Quite ready-to-drink, this new blend of 50% Syrah, 30% Grenache, 5% Mourvèdre and 5% other grapes has 15% alcohol and 3 g/L residual sugar with lot number L29293 on the lower part of the glass bottle. Unoaked - it was aged on fine lees in concrete tanks for 9 months before bottling which accounts for its complexity. This excellent 2019 is the fourth to appear in Vintages and is the best release to date. |
