MURPHY-GOODE |
Deep intense purple colour. The nose on this California-designated Cabernet Sauvignon is quite fragrant with a floral-tinged, dark fruit, plum-cassis notes. Dry, medium bodied, bright, rather spicy, gently tangy, harmonious, ripe, black-cherry-cassis flavours with a lingering, very faintly savoury, crisp, gently cedary finish. This versatile, ready-to-drink, crowd-pleaser has 13.5% alcohol and 6 g/L residual sugar with lot number 2021117 on the back label. Screwcap closure. |

TASTING NOTE: This juicy, fresh wine reflects an easygoing, ripe, approachable style that has wide popular appeal. The dark fruit, cassis and herbs are framed by vanilla, spice, and moderately employed oak that adds some toast but keeps the fruit at the fore. The balance and juicy character will make it a fine option for stews or roasted meats. |
