LA GRANDE CUVÉE ROSÉ 2021 AP Côtes du Roussillon |

DOMAINE LAFAGE |
\NEW in Vintages. Extremely bright very faintly pink colour. Lovely, rather complex, fresh plum-red-cherry nose with some minerally, seaside rosehip notes. Dry, medium bodied, well balanced, bright, fresh, gently plummy, tangerine citrus flavours with a lingering, faintly spicy, minerally finish. One of the best French roses tasted this year. This blend of 70% Gray and Black Grenache with 30% Mourvèdre was aged in stainless steel with a portion spending 4 months in previously-used demi-muid 600-litre oak barrels. It has 12.5% alcohol and 3 g/L residual sugar with lot number L22097B on the lower part of the glass bottle. |

TASTING NOTE: This rosé is mostly Grenache Gris from vines over 80 years old, with about one third made up of Mourvèdre sourced from vines topping 65 years of age. A portion of the blend is aged in oak for four months. Bright strawberry tones lead the way riding on waves of sweet spices. A wonderful sipper that will enhance any meal. |
