LINI 910 |
A REPEAT that was last released on July 10, 2021 at $19.95.Extremely deep dark intense violet-purple colour. Intense, slightly sweetish, spicy, plummy, Sultana raisin nose. Off dry, medium bodied, fairly well structured, spicy, bright, tangy, plummy-black-cherry-red-currant flavours with a lingering, slightly raisin-tinged, fizzy, dryish, surprisingly crisp finish. Serve well chilled. This blend of 85% Lambrusco Salamino and 15% Ancelotta has 11% alcohol and 10 g/L residual sugar witha new lot number L.129/2022 on the back label. Perfect with Parmesan Reggiano cheese. |

TASTING NOTE: This once unfashionable red fizz is making a comeback. Your preconceptions may be that it's a sweet, simple wine, but this is a dry, complex style packed with black cherries and redcurrants. Refreshing on the palate with vibrant crunchy black fruit acidity, it will go well with rich Italian food. Score - 90 (Christelle Guibert, decanter.com, undated) |
