A REPEAT of the 2019 that was released on October 16, 2021. Here is my just-updated tasting note. Here is my new review based on a just tasted bottle. Bright medium-light violet-crimson-red colour. Gently complex, very bright, pure, plum-cherry-cranberry fruit with lots of mineral notes along with a touch of raspberry, sandalwood and cedar. Dry, medium to medium-light bodied, tangy, plum-cherry-crancherry flavours and a lingering, somewhat grippy, very crisp finish that has a chalky, mineral notes with a faint touch of oak. Bright with good cool climate purity that could work well with salmon and perhaps poultry. Has 11.5% alcohol and under 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number L040331 on the lower part of the glass bottle. Screwcap closure. Just tasted side by side with the 2018 which received 92-points. |

TASTING NOTE: Always a refined, expressive reflection of Prince Edward County. Look for this to offer complex, layered mixed fruit with oak spice and superb freshness. Let it evolve in your cellar for 5+ years or try it tonight with duck. |
