BARÓN DE LEY RESERVA 2017 Estate bottled, DOCa Rioja
Vintage Assessments Tasting Note Producer BARON DE LEY
Deep intense purple colour. Classy, intense, ripe, plum puree nose with some complex, cedar-sandalwood notes. Dry, medium to medium-full bodied, well structured, gently spicy, intense, ripe, plum-blackberry fruit flavours with a lingering, rather cedary, fairly high acid, complex finish. Still quite youthful with fine mouthfeel, this fine 2017 is a 100% unfiltered Tempranillo which spent 20 months in new American oak and has 14% alcohol, 1.8 g/L residual sugar with lot number L146204-121 on the lower part of the glass bottle. It's ravishing when served in a huge Riedel 001 glass. You can start enjoying it now or cellar it for another 5 years or so. CSPC 958868
