| This delicious 2020 gently smoky, ripe, black-cherry-cassis purée driven 100% Syrah is another release best buy. Very deep intense purple colour, the truly charming nose shows an abundance of spicy, ripe plum and black cherry fruit with some complex, slightly smoky, licorice-sandalwood notes. Dry, medium-full bodied, well structured, gently spicy, intense, faintly smoky, ripe plum-cherry-cassis flavours with a lingering, gently cedary, complex and yet harmonious finish. Quite ready to drink, this classic, well priced, northern Rhone Syrah from the small Crozes-Hermitage appellation has 13% alcohol and 2 g/L residual sugar with lot number L22090 on the lower part of the glass bottle. |

| TASTING NOTE: As always, this is a deep, intensely coloured wine. The aromas and flavours are equally impressive, trotting out generous raspberry, blackberry, touches of roasted fruit, underbrush, savoury herbs, pepper and smoke. Balanced and fresh, it will cellar for another 6-8 years and will be wonderful with lamb, smoked duck breast, or darkchocolate desserts. |
